Shooting StarsLast night I woke up my daughter to watch the Geminids Meteor Shower with me, she was fascinated. She's never seen so many shooting stars! We are very blessed to live in a high mountain community with no street lights so the stars are simply phemonial, but when we pass through a meteor shower it's even more amazing.
ChattingAs we sat watching the brilliant streaks across the sky my 9 year old started asking some very deep questions such as 'where to the meteors go', 'how long ago did they fall', 'what is matter'. I was quite impressed and as we discussed matter I felt it was a good time to chat about the Law of Attraction and the powers of The Universe.
You see I've been studying this since I was a teen, it's been a huge sign on a fence post for years and years however I did not 'get it' until my late 20's early 30's. If I can teach my 9 year old NOW she literally holds the powers of The Universe in the palm of her teeny hand and has a multi decade advantage.
Quantum PhysicsSo I sit down and chat with my daughter about physics, something HUGE to most people and even more huge to a pre-adolescent. I first asked her if she knew what 'energy' was. She explained it as 'stuff spinning'. I said that was correct and the energy spinning had a unique vibration. I told her that everything is made of energy and went a little in depth. I explained how if we took the blanket on her bed and looked at it under a microscope we'd see fibers, and if we zoomed in on the fibers, we'd see atoms and if we zoomed in on the atoms we'd see molecules. I told her that these molecules are 'stuff spinning' or vibrationg energy.
I went on to explain that every 'thing' is actually made up of 'energy'. Her blanket, her body, the cat, the meteors, water... Her eyes were wide with amazement!
Thoughts are Vibrating EnergyShe and I have had this discussion before, how when she thinks things she creates them. Like when she has a day of non cessant stubbing toes, bonking elbows and pricking fingers where she'll declare 'jeez I keep hurting myself!'
I elaborated on this and told her that thoughts are things, they are an energy and when she thinks something it puts a call out to The Universe and magnetically attracts things with the same energy vibration. So I asked her what happens when she says "I keep hurting myself"... She said "OHHHH" and then elaborated "when I say that I am a magnet and attracting boo boos". I told her she indeed was right.
Changing ThoughtsI then told her that by simply changing her thought process, she can change her day. I asked her if she did not want to get hurt, what could she think instead? She said "I can think I will not get hurt today".
Thoughts of Physical 'things'I went on to talk about how we can attract physical things to our lives as well. Such as cars, homes, money. She was totally enthralled. I told her that I attracted the house we lived in. She thought that was pretty funny. But I went on to explain that in late 2005 when I first visited this mountain community we decided this was where we wanted to live. I constantly envisioned a home with a tree lined mountain view. I repeated to myself over and over 'I will own a home up there'. However my husband and I never 'looked', just put the desire out there for The Universe to manifest.
Well in October of 2006 we were invited to a BBQ up here in this area, we were chatting how we'd love to live up here and all of a sudden a car pulls up and a lady popped out who stood quietly and listened intentently while we finished our conversation. After we finished we were introduced and she looked at my husband and said 'are you handy?'. He said he was, she said I need you two to come with me. So we both hop in her car and she takes us up a hill to a home, as we acend the driveway she says this is a 30 year old home, it needs some love but it's a great price.
We stood on the deck and tears hit my eyes. It was it, it was the vision, the view I had for nearly a year. We were in escrow the next week and moved in a month later...
Thought ProjectSo, I told my daughter to focus on something this month. She chose to focus on a pair of boots from the kids' store 'Limited Too'. She's wanted them for months. I told her to cut out a picture of the boots and focus on them daily. I told her to imagine wearing them, feeling what they feel like and to envision that they were already hers. Draw a picture of her wearing them, etc... I told her to watch for signs, sometimes the thing comes directly to you and sometimes a 'way' to get the thing is provided to you. It was her job to ask, believe and receive...
